Radio Havana Cuba-13 November 2000 Via NY Transfer News * All the News That Doesn't Fit Radio Havana Cuba - News Update - 13 November 2000 *NATURE TOURISM PROJECT PROMOTED AT MEETING IN VINALES VALLEY Havana, November 13th (RHC)-- Cuba can count on 50 available areas to promote nature tourism. These locations daily receive more than seven thousand tourists, without causing any damage to the enviroment. The project was announced during the closure of Turnat 2000, a meeting that took place at the Vinales Valley, located in the Cuban western province of Pinar del Rio. Some 140 delegates participated, including 40 foreign specialists in tourism. During the meeting specialists promoted eco-tourism as an option that complements the main attraction of the island, which are the sun and the beach.
