The closing event included conferences presented by the Pan American Health Organization as well as Cuba's Deputy Health Minister Dr. Luis Cordova. ARGENTINEAN COMMERCIAL DELEGATION ARRIVES ON MONDAY Havana, May 21(RHC)-- Cuba's Chamber of Commerce has announced that an Argentinean commercial delegation will arrive in Havana on Monday. The trade delegation will be headed by the Argentinean Secretary of State for Industry, Trade and Mining, Alleto Guadagni. The group, which will include representatives from the food and chemical sectors, has expressed interest in learning about investment opportunities that the island offers. RAIN BRINGS WELCOME RELIEF TO EASTERN HOLGUIN PROVINCE Holguin, May 21(RHC)-- The reservoirs in eastern Holguin province have increased by almost 15.5 million cubic meters due to the rains that have fallen in the area over the past week. However, according to local authorities, 18 of the reservoirs operated by the National Institute of Water Resources are not even close to their full capacity due to the prolonged drought that has hit the region. NATIONAL EVANGELICAL CELEBRATION BEGINS TOMORROW Havana, May 21(RHC)-- Cuba's 49 evangelical organizations will take part in the National Evangelical Celebration which will begin on Saturday and run through the month of June. According to the President of Cuba's Council of Churches, Reverend Pablo Oden Marishal, 18 celebrations are scheduled to take place, four of which will have a national character in Baracoa, Holguin, Camaguey and Havana. The Cuban evangelical celebration will include issues like peace, love and unity. Rev. Marishal stated that all Christians must contribute to the moral and ethical improvement of Cuban society and broaden relations between Protestant denominations and churches throughout Cuba. During a news conference in Havana, the president of Cuba's Council of Churches praised the participation of all churches in the celebration. Also present at the news conference was Reverend Raul Suarez, Director of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Center in Havana. VERACLUB GRAN CARIBE HOTEL IN VARADERO IS AMONG THE FOUR BEST HOTELS OF ITS TYPE IN THE WORLD Varadero, May 21(RHC)-- The Veraclub Gran Caribe Hotel, located at the Varadero Beach Resort, is among the four best hotels of its type in the world, according to the Director of the Veraclub International Hotel Group, Guido Beltoni. Speaking with reporters at the Varadero facility, Beltoni said that in addition to Cuba, Veraclub has hotels in Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Tanzania, Egypt, Sardinia, Italy and Maldives. The Veraclub hotel chain mainly receives Italian vacationers. Nine thousand Italian tourists stayed at the Veraclub Hotel in Varadero last year and the number is expected to increase to 11,000 this year.
