Hi, amigos radioaficionados around the world! Nice to have you all listening to radio hobby program coming to you from Havana. I am Arnie Coro, radio amateur CO2KK, and as always it is my pleasure to share with you about seventeen minutes of all radio hobby related information!
Item one: Solar update: After a very active last week, now the sun seems to be taking a rest, and the daily sunspot numbers and solar flux have taken a nose dive. At the same time we are enjoying a period of very quiet geomagnetic activity, quite a change from the past two weeks...
Item two: One of the most fascinating ways of enjoying our wonderful hobby is .... YES, one of the most wonderful way of playing with our radios is to organize a DX expedition... go to a remote location, install your radio equipment, have yourself a nice time and make a lot of ham radio operators around the world very happy too when you give them the opportunity to work a new country, or in the case of VHF-UHF and Microwaves a new Grid Square...
Today I have here with me at RHC studio 7 an amateur radio operator from the United States, his name is Frank Smith and the world knows him for organizing some very interesting amateur radio DX expeditions...
Frank will answer my questions about this very interesting topic so that many of you will perhaps start thinking about organizing your own Dx expedition soon!!! And as always, at the end of the show, I will provide you with the most up to date HF plus 6 meters propagation forecast... Margarita Delgado is my sound engineer and producer, I am Arnie Coro in Havana back with you all in a few seconds....
You are tuned to Radio Havana Cuba, and this is Dxers Unlimited's weekend edition... today with a special interview to Frank Smith, an American radio amateur visiting Cuba... Frank, let's start talking amigo...
